Spelling Bee live results: Updated words list, winners by round for 2026 Scripps National Spelling Bee

The Scripps National Spelling Bee celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2025, but 101 has a nice ring to it as well.

This year, 247 of the brightest young minds have descended on Washington D.C., where they and everyone watching will hang on every letter as the field gets whittled down to one.

All 50 U.S. states will be represented, but representatives of Texas and Florida have had a premium on championships in recent years. Each of the last four and six of the last eight champions have come from one of those two states, which tend to send some of the largest delegations to the nation’s capital.

The Sporting News is tracking live updates and results from the 2026 Scripps National Spelling Bee. Follow along below with results from each round.
