Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA confirms WEC driver lineups

Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA has announced the driver combinations for its pair of Hypercar class V-Series.Rs ahead of the 2025 FIA WEC season.

The British team will compete with Alex Lynn, Norman Nato and Will Stevens in its No. 12 entry, and Earl Bamber, Sebastien Bourdais and Jenson Button in the No. 38.

Notably, this news confirms that Earl Bamber and Alex Lynn have been split up after sharing the single Ganassi-run Cadillac during 2023 and 2024 and will race with new teammates this year.

“We have six extremely strong drivers with a combination of experience and fresh eyes on the Cadillac program,” said Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA team principal, Dieter Gass.

“Each of these drivers brings something unique to the table, and as a team, our job was to establish which combinations made the most sense to maximize the overall strengths of the group.

“While character and personality play a big role in team dynamics, driving style and preferences were also key factors in determining who would be paired in each car. We took our time over this process, and we’re really looking forward to seeing what both trios can achieve in Qatar and beyond.”

JOTA co-founder David Clark added: “Getting that chemistry right, not only between the drivers, but the entire team is something we pride ourselves on as a team.

“There’s no one individual more important than the rest. Absolutely everyone has their role to play and creating the right dynamic in which everyone can achieve their best is crucial to on-track success for us.

“During pre-season testing, we’ve seen an incredible team spirit already build between our drivers and their crews and this is extremely encouraging but we don’t take anything for granted. That’s the JOTA way!”

The new-look Hertz Team JOTA effort will make its first public appearance as Cadillac’s factory team later this month at the official pre-season Prologue in Qatar on 21-22nd February.
