Chelsea are leaving no stone unturned in their attempts to part ways with Nicolas Jackson before the September 1 transfer deadline.
The Blues have decided that the Senegal international is surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge following the recent arrivals of Liam Delap and Joao Pedro.
Meanwhile, a number of clubs remain interested in signing Jackson during the ongoing transfer window.
For instance, Aston Villa are one of the clubs who have maintained a long-standing interest in signing the forward, thanks to their manager Unai Emery, who has previously worked with Jackson during their time together at Villarreal.
Further, it has also been revealed that Jackson would love to reunite with his former manager at Villa Park this summer.
Now, the Villans have gone a step further and are set to offer one of their star players in exchange for Jackson during this transfer window.

But Aston Villa are not the only team interested in securing Jackson’s services this summer.
Villa’s Premier League rivals, Newcastle United, are also said to be interested in signing the 24-year-old.
The Magpies are now convinced that Jackson is a suitable option for them, after missing out on a host of transfer targets this summer.
However, transfer expert Greame Bailey was quoted by the Chelsea Chronicle as saying, “I do expect Jackson to go. From my understanding at the moment, I think he’s maybe more likely to go to Villa with Emery.”
“I said also it could help Chelsea and Villa’s relationship, where if Chelsea really do want Morgan Rogers, we know they’re desperate for Morgan Rogers at some point, but if they were to make it a bit easier for Villa to sign Jackson, then they’re not going to forget that.”
“And I think they can do a behind-the-scenes where Chelsea secure first option on Morgan Rogers as part of that deal. All these conversations will be happening. I think there’s a real chance that Jackson ends up at Villa.”
Chelsea have had a long-standing interest in Rogers, and a swap deal between him and Jackson could be an ideal way to land their target.
On paper, a swap deal between Jackson and Rogers would be ideal for all parties involved.
