As summer nears an end, it’s once again time for some of the world’s best young baseball players to live out their dreams.
20 teams will compete to win the Little League World Series in one of the great shows of sportsmanship on the baseball calendar.
American teams are looking to get back to the top after Chinese Taipei captured the first international Little League World Series title since 2017 last year. After back-to-back years in the title game, Chinese Taipei won’t be represented in this year’s tournament — but plenty of international talent could spoil the United States’ hopes in Williamsport.
Here’s an updated look at each team in the 2026 Little League World Series and more to know about the tournament.

Who is in the Little League World Series?
20 teams compete in the Little League World Series each year, with 10 coming from the United States and 10 being international squads. After the U.S. teams and international teams go through their respective brackets, one representative of each will meet for the LLWS world championship.

When is the Little League World Series?

The 2026 Little League World Series starts on Aug. 19 and will run through Aug. 30, when the championship game will be played.
In the LLWS double-elimination bracket, every team is guaranteed to play at least two games.

What channel is the Little League World Series on?
The 2026 Little League World Series will air on the ESPN family networks across three channels: ESPN, ESPN2 and ABC. The United States championship game will air on ABC, as will the tournament championship on Aug. 30.
Those seeking to stream the Little League World Series can find it on the ESPN app or fubo, which offers a free trial.
Where is the Little League World Series?

Two stadiums will again host all of the Little League World Series action: Howard J. Lamade Stadium and Volunteer Stadium.
Howard J. Lamade Stadium is the main home of the LLWS, hosting the championship game in both brackets and the overall title game. The venue has a capacity of 10,000 people, but the grass areas surrounding the stadium allow up to 40,000 people to see games.
The other Little League World Series venue in Williamsport is Volunteer Stadium, which hosts several games throughout the tournament. Up to 5,000 people can be seated at Volunteer Stadium.
Bowman Field in Williamsport will host the Little League Classic between the Braves and Brewers on Aug. 23, though the venue doesn’t host any LLWS games.

Who won the Little League World Series last year?
Chinese Taipei became the first international team in eight years to win the Little League World Series in 2025, cruising past Nevada 7-0 in the championship game.
Tung-Yuan Little League defeated Mexico, Aruba and Venezuela in the international bracket before winning it with a 1-0 shutout of Aruba and advancing to face Nevada.
Which state/country has won the most Little League World Series titles?
Teams from the United States have won the most, accounting for 40 of the total titles, but it’s a close race There have been a total of 38 international titles, with the most being from Chinese Taipei with 18. Japan has the second-most with 11, including five since 2010.
Within the U.S., California has won the LLWS more than any other state with eight championships in total. Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Hawaii and New Jersey all tied at fourth with four.
Champions have skewed American in recent years, but Chinese Taipei broke the trend in 2025 with the first international Little League World Series title since 2017.
