
Lions defensive back Morice Norris was taken off the field in an ambulance after taking a knee to his helmet in the fourth quarter vs. Atlanta. The game was suspended with more than six minutes left on the clock and will not be resumed.
Norris has been diagnosed with a neck injury. The incident happened when he was going for a tackle and ended up getting nailed by a Falcons player’s knee.
As the play continued, Norris lay there motionless. Trainers responded, but they quickly signaled for the ambulance after determining that he had a neck injury.

Players were obviously shaken up seeing Norris not moving on the ground and needing an ambulance. Players from both teams circled around where he was being tended to to offer support and prayer. After the ambulance left the field, the teams lined up and the Falcons took a knee. They forefitted the snap, and all of the players on the field circled up and got another prayer in.
