Plenty of eyes will be on star defenders like Arvel Reese, Reuben Bane Jr. and David Baley, as well as skill-position players like Carnell Tate, Jeremiyah Love and Jordan Tyson. While there will be some big names worth monitoring — including No. 1 pick favorite Fernando Mendoza, although he will not be throwing passes — the combine is also a way for lesser-known prospects to make a name for themselves.

The first big event of the NFL offseason has arrived. How will top prospects perform at the combine?

The Sporting News is tracking results, live updates, and highlights from all of the 2026 NFL Combine action in Indianapolis, which will be running until Sunday. Follow along with players’ measurements, workout highlights and the biggest storylines below.

NFL Combine results: Live updates, highlights from 2026 workouts

All times Eastern. This section will be updated.

Friday, February 28 — Defensive backs, tight ends

12:51 p.m. — George TE Oscar Delp will not go through the Combine due to liability issues. Through a routine X-ray it was found that he played the entire 2025 season with a hairline fracture in his foot, per Zach Klein. The tight end is expected to be cleared by the Bulldogs’ Pro Day.

11:47 a.m.: Indiana CB D’Angelo Ponds has an interesting measurements combination, as he is just 5’9″ but has pretty big hands.

11:42 a.m.: Miami QB Carson Beck is expected to throw at the combine, according to Jordan Schultz.

10:43 a.m.: Ty Simpson revealed to the media that he met with the JEts, Steelers and Cardinals, among others. He’s also very confident in his abilities.

10:11 a.m.: LSU’s Garrett Nusmeier told the media that his injury last year really impacted his ability to play the position.

9:18 a.m.: A few notable updates for this week’s workouts: Carnell Tate will only participate in the 40-yard dash, while Makai Lemon will only to the gauntlet and route-running.

Thursday, February 26 — Defensive Linemen, Linebackers

7:49 p.m. — Reese’s official time was also changed to a 4.46 so the Ohio State teammates tied as the fastest linebackers.

7:40 p.m. — Styles official time was registered at a 4.46. He was followed by Arvell Reese and Kaleb Elarms-Orr at a 4.47, and Anthony Hill Jr. ran a 4.51.

7:35 p.m. — Ohio State LB Sonny Styles, who set a record with his vertical jump among linebackers, ran a 4.47 40-yard dash, tied for the fastest among his position.

7:14 p.m. — TCU LB Kaleb Elarms-Orr got the linebackers started with a 4.47 40-yard dash.

6:47 p.m. — Styles had a 11’2″ broad jump. His broad jump was impressive, and was the fourth-best all-time, per the NFL. His vertical? Styles posted the the best vertical jump for a linebacker ever.

6:11 p.m. — Ohio State linebacker Sonny Styles was listed at 6-4, 243 lbs. for the 2025 season. He registered a 43.5 inch vertical jump that turned heads.

5:50 p.m. — Bailey posted a 4.54 unofficial on his second attempt. Upon review of his first attempt, the official time was updated to 4.50 seconds, and it was the fastest for the defensive ends.

5:01 p.m.: Woah, Texas Tech’s David Bailey with a quick 4.51 on his first attempt. It looked like he stumbled on the start a bit, too.

5:00 p.m.: Duke’s Vincent Anthony Jr. gets us started in this second group of defensive lineman running the 40, and he gets a 4.85 unofficial.

4:51 p..m: A big vertical jump number for Oklahoma DT Gracen Halton:

4:25 p.m.: The edge rushers are up next for the 40-yard dashes! Who are you all looking forward to seeing most?

3:44 p.m.: The 40-yard dashes are over for the defensive linemen, and the on-field drills have started.

3:39 p.m.: Texas A&M’s Albert Regis runs a much faster 4.88 on his second attempt, and Zane Durant’s 4.76 still stands as the top 40 time so far.

3:16 p.m.: Penn State defensive lineman Zane Durant with a quick 4.76 unofficial on his first 40.

That’s the fastest time we’ve seen so far, but it’s still early.

3:12 p.m.: Florida’s Caleb Banks runs a 5.05 unofficial first 40 after a couple of false starts. At 6-foot-6, 327 pounds, that’s not a bad time for his size.

3:00 p.m.: OK folks, drills are about to get rolling here for the placekickers, defensive linemen and linebackers! Who are we most looking forward to seeing?

2:25 p.m.: Ohio State LB Sonny Styles has also put up some big numbers:

2:00 p.m.: The buzz surrounding Caleb Banks continues, as he puts up a huge vertical jump number:

1:30p.m.: Florida defensive lineman Caleb Banks hasn’t even started on-field workouts, but his measurements are getting some buzz:

Banks isn’t a first-round lock just yet, but he could vault himself there with more impressive numbers like this in Indy.

12:15 p.m.: Clemson defensive lineman Peter Woods will not workout in Indy. A bit of a surprise for the projected high draft pick:

11:44 a.m.: Speaking of short arms, Bain and another potential first-rounder in Texas A&M’s Cashius Howell would have the shortest arms taken in the first round since 1999(!):

10:57 a.m.: Measurements are starting to roll in, and as expected, Miami EDGE rusher Reuben Bain’s arm length is pretty short:

9:15 a.m.: Some big news this morning, as Tennessee CB Jermod McCoy will reportedly not work out this week for scouts:

9:00 a.m.: Good morning football fans! Who’s excited to watch a bunch of dudes workout in their underwear?! The on-field action in Indy gets started later this afternoon.
