The 2026 FIBA Women’s World Cup will wrap up group play on Monday with a handful of matchups, including a battle between the USA and Czechia.
Team USA reigns supreme at the Women’s World Cup, and are already considered heavy favorites for another global title this year. The American squad has announced they will be playing without veteran stars A’Ja Wilson and Kelsey Plum due to injury, but the Mystics’ Sonia Citron and Kiki Iriafen will take their spots on the roster.
Meanwhile, Czechia’s national team will be making its fourth-ever appearance in the Women’s World Cup, and looking to top their best outcome, which was a silver medal in 2010. The Czech side will have to find their stride without star center Julia Reisingerová, who is still in recovery from surgery.
